This year’s Oxford and Cambridge Boat Race gave rise to a number of interesting facts:

· Due to strong winds and rain, the winning time was the slowest since 1947.

· The Oxford cox, Nick Brodie, was also the club president and was returning after defeat the previous year

· The Oxford crew included the oldest rower in the race’s history, Mike Wherley, aged 36.

· In the last two weeks before the race, many of the Oxford crew received Shiatsu treatments from Pete Woodcraft

“In the final preparations for the Boat Race crew it is essential to have each member of the Oxford University crew in his optimal physical and mental state. A number of this year's Oxford crew used Peter Woodcraft's Shiatsu skills for a range of issues and were happy to trust Peter in this very sensitive time. I would be happy to have Peter working again with our team.”

I found Pete's Shiatsu treatments very effective, primarily because of its use of both Eastern and Western techniques.  My back was very tight during the final week but always improved after he worked on me  There is no doubt that it helped me in my preparations for the Boat Race and aided my performance on the day.  I would not hesitate to use his services again.
